This is really interesting.  Early exposure has clearly been found to be a risk factor with substance use disorders.  But there has been a pervasive belief in many cultures and I imagine certain families that it is better if the teens get their alcohol at home and can be supervised, sort of a harm reduction model.  Thank you for sharing.
