The Department of Addictology in Prague had the pleasure to host a visit from Prof. Richard Pates. Prof. Richard Pates is a founder member and former president of ISAJE. He had been the Editor in Chief of the Journal of Substance Use for the past 20 years.

On October 10, 2023, we had the privilege of hosting Robert Leventhal, Deputy Director of the INL Bureau Office of Global Crime Issues in Washington DC, along with Bethany Kastrinsky, Transnational Crime Program Advisor, Foreign Affairs Officer, Global Programs and Policy at the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, U.S. Department of State, and Mr. Aditya Phatak from the US Embassy in Delhi.

Call for Abstracts

The 2024 ISSUP Global Event will be held in Thessaloniki, Greece between 24th & 28th June, 2024. Abstract submission is now open until December 31st, 2023, and we are inviting contributions from professionals across substance use prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery support, as well as those working with vulnerable populations. Whether you're an academic or not, we welcome your submissions.
