Are you sure your effect is being felt at grassroot? Am in Kwale Tumaini Secondary, I have invited Nacada to sensitize students, they have never turned up.
Ashiku, kindly note that sensitizations are not linked to positive outcomes. There has been a paradigm shift in our approach. Check the newletter on some of the approaches. Are you a teacher at that school? If not ask the school principal to liaise with the regional office in Mombasa. You can also visit our website to identify training opportunities available. This is amazing, am currently working to initiate a Partinarship Walk Event for my organization to pilot in Vihiga county to create awareness on substance and drugs use prevention among the youth. Am sourcing for support and collaboration in this matter and Nacada can be of help through my organization and other volunteer professionals and volunteer in this area. The objective is to create a free counseling service to the youth who may experience mental health problems associated with drug use and influence. Also to break the stigma associated with drugs users seeking help at the community level.
