This webinar will review the key factors necessary for effectively treating co-occurring trauma and addiction. Practical suggestions and tools will be offered, including content specific to assessment, early intervention, and long-term recovery.

Speakers:

John Fitzgerald, PhD, LPC, CAS is the Statewide Addiction Treatment Analyst for the Oregon Criminal Justice Commission. He is presently leading all work on Senate Bill 1041 which involves studying, tracking and accounting for all public money spent on addiction treatment in Oregon, and the outcomes achieved for that spend.

Mark Girard, MSW, LCSW is a Jungian psychoanalyst and clinical social worker. He has both worked and been a supervisor in a variety of clinical settings including inpatient psychiatric units, a day treatment program, a university counseling center, a variety of state correctional facilities, hospital emergency departments, and a community mental health center.
