ISSUP Kenya Executive Committee members had the privilege to meet with the Parliamentary Caucas against Drug and Substance Abuse. The meeting yielded rich and positive deliberations which culminated in a partnership agreement between both parties.
ISSUP Kenya is now an active player in the activities of the caucus in Kenya. The goal of the partnership is to collaborate in responding to the national agenda of substance use prevention and reduce the disease burden caused by SUDs.
Present at the meeting were Hon. Anthony Kibagendi MP, Chairman of the caucas, Hon. Dan Mathenge MP for Nyeri, Hon. Esther Passaris ( Mama County), Nairobi Women's County Rep. as well as the caucas secretariat. From ISSUP Kenya were: President Dr Pamela Kaithuru, vice-president, Catherine Muthiani, Secretary, Dr Jackie Anundo, treasurer, Lambert Oigara, assistant secretary, Anne Mumbi Waigwa, assistant treasurer, Frank Laurence.
