Caribbean Youth Forum On Prevention of Drug Use 2023 team YTTAD

Y.T.T.A.D- Youths of Trinidad & Tobago Against Drugs, Is a group comprising young hard-working minds from the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago whose Primary goal is to treat the issue of drug use among youths in the country. This team will be headed to the 2nd edition of the Caribbean Youth Forum for Prevention of Drug Use in Nassau, Bahamas to share their finding and project proposal. Representing will be a group of 3 individuals: Namely Ayodele Cudjoe, the group's leader, Kernique Marshall, and Patrick Phillips.

22-year-old Ayodele Cudjoe was born on September 19 2000 on the island of Tobago in the twin island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Raised in the village of Bethel, Tobago, he Attended St Patrick's Anglican Primary School, Tobago (2005-2012) and Bishop's High School, Tobago(2012-2020). His notable achievements included: Lance Corporal; Trinidad and Tobago Cadet Force (2016-2020), Public Relations Officer; Club Axis (2013-2017), Student council president (2020) National Secondary School Boys Open 1500m Walk (2020). 3rd Place Prime Minister's Best Village competition, best-written Script Multiple acts (2021). Member of the Bethel Police Youth Club (2016- present) Currently,  he is pursuing a bachelor's Degree in Biology at the University of the Southern Caribbean, St Joseph. Interests include sports,  music,  community work, scriptwriting, event planning, and youth development.

Kernique Marshall is a 19-year-old young lady who was born and bred in the humble village of La Brea. She’s an academically inclined individual who is able to continuously develop and improve herself not only through education but Co and extracurricular activities as well. From the tender age of two, whilst in Our Lady of Roses Pre-school, she took a keen interest in the art of dance. She then went on to join a dance school where she was the youngest and displayed great talent, here was the start of her love for dance. As she progressed to La Brea Roman Catholic Primary School her love for dance and academic inclination flourished. She continued to top her class and received awards for excelling and participating in school activities like Carnival competitions, Sports Day, Zonals, Netball, and many more. She graduated primary school at the top of her class and as valedictorian. Next, she went on to top SEA in her jurisdiction and passed for Holy Faith Convent, Penal. At this secondary school, Kernique continued to participate in school activities like netball, choral speaking, dance and school clubs all while up keeping her academics and making the deans list and honour roll. One of her most memorable achievements though, is leading her school team to victory as captain of the team for the National History Quiz. She went on graduate with a full certificate of commendable marks in the midst of the covid 19 pandemic. After graduating she continued to keep herself active my signing up and completing many courses and enrolling into the Instute of Law and Academic Studies where she began her Law studies. Kernique is currently pursuing her LLB and remains active within her community by being a community volunteer and a member of a group called No Youth Left Behind. She loves helping others and is currently employed at a District Court where she sees it as her opportunity to familiarize herself with the Law system as it’s their where she sees her career in the near future.

Patrick Phillips is a 23 year old youth advocate who resides in the community of Radix Village, Mayaro. At his alma-mater Mayaro Secondary School, Patrick demonstrated keen leadership aptitude as he served as Male Prefect (2011-2013), Student Council Vice President (2014-2016) and Sport House Captain (2014-2016). Following his secondary education, Patrick has obtained certificates from UWI and COSTATT in Business Management, Health Safety Security and Environment Management and Project Management. He is currently pursuing his BSc in Occupational Health Safety and the Environment at the Cipriani College of Labour & Corporative Studies.  Patrick is the holder of many dignifying titles and experiences:  -Chairman of the Mayaro Secondary School Local School Board  - Field Officer, National Youth    League  -Chairman of of the Nariva Mayaro District Youth Council (2022- current) - Chairman of Mayaro Youth League  -Founder, President and Head of Community Outreach of Ma Guaya Youth Foundation (2017- present)

Coming in as a replacement for a member for the forum is Colin Aberdeen. He is 25 years old and hails from the village of Biche.  He Studied social work and has a passion for Youths
