At the end of this presentation, attendees will be able to:
* For patients, assess precautions/warnings for use of the first-line smoking cessation medications (nicotine replacement therapies, bupropion SR, and varenicline), and, taking patient preference into consideration, initiate an appropriate medication regimen (dose, frequency of administration, and duration of therapy)
* Identify the two most effective, evidence-based smoking cessation medication therapies
* List three concerns with using electronic nicotine delivery systems (e.g. e-cigarettes) for smoking cessation
* Refer patients for follow-up tobacco treatment care after discharge
