This 3-days skills-based course enhances participants understanding of co-occurring disorders, substance-related disorders, and mental disorders.
This course is designed to develop skills to identify and provide intervention to people with SUD and other co-occurring medical and mental disorders. Participants will be able to identify and describe common co-occurring medical disorders such as tuberculosis, hypertension, diabetes, Hepatitis, and HIV as well as identify and describe mental health disorders that frequently co-occur with substance use such as depression, anxiety, trauma-related, schizophrenia spectrum, bipolar, compulsive disorders and personality disorders.
