"NAVCHETNA: A new Consciousness on Life Skills and Drug Education for School Children."
ISSUP India in collaboration with the Ministry of Education (MoE), and the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment (MSJE) of the Government of India developed a teacher trainer resource module called "NAVCHETNA: A new Consciousness on Life Skills and Drug Education for School Children." The NAVCHETNA Module was officially launched on July 30th, 2022, in Chandigarh, by the Hon'ble Union Home Minister, Shri. Amit Shah.
The NAVCHETNA module will be implemented by trained teachers in schools as part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan initiative to promote awareness and education about life skills and drugs.
ISSUP India organized the inaugural training of Master Trainers on the NAVCHETNA module, May 31st to June 2nd, 2023, at Sector 32, State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), in Chandigarh.
It was inaugurated by Shri. Narender Singh, Director MSJE, and chaired by Shri. Sanjay Kumar, Under Secretary MSJE, along with Ms. Prabhjot, State Coordinator from the Department of Social Welfare, Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Executive Director SPYM, and Mr. Gary Reid one of the authors of NAVCHETNA Module.
