We have marked the beginning of a transformative journey as we kicked off the first of five days of UTC 4 - Basic Counseling Skills Certification Training at Life Community Church.
This groundbreaking initiative, facilitated by The National LEAD Institute and ISSUP Bahamas National Chapter, brings together church parishioners and key public health stakeholders from the Public Hospitals Authority at Rand Memorial Hospital.
This training, led by Troy E. Clarke I, President of the National LEAD Institute and Director of the ISSUP Bahamas National Chapter, and Michelle Lundy, Assistant Director of the ISSUP Bahamas National Chapter, equips participants with essential knowledge and practical skills for Basic Counseling for Addiction Professionals.
This collaboration signifies a powerful move towards bridging the gap between faith-based communities and public health systems, ensuring a united approach to tackling substance use and mental health challenges.
We are excited to see the ripple effects of this effort, which empowers individuals to make a lasting impact in their communities. Stay tuned for more updates as the training continues.
