This webinar features a presentation of the World Drug Report 2020 by Thomas Pietschmann (UNODC Research Section), one of the authors of the report.
The civil society perspective was given by George Ochieng Odalo (Slum Child Foundation Kenya) and focused on how they use the data of the World Drug Report in their daily work and what kind of challenges they face.
The two presentations were followed by an open Q&A session, were a range of questions was raised, such as how NGOs can contribute to the report, how COVID-19 may effect the various drug markets and overall drug use, and how it would be possible to monitor the lack of access to pain medicines.
