National Youth Convention & Anti-Drug Poster/Painting Competition by Youth Forum Pakistan and ISSUP Pakistan Chapter in Lahore
The Youth Forum Pakistan (for drug use prevention) in collaboration with ISSUP Pakistan Chapter and M A Jinnah Foundation (Regd), Sialkot organized the National Youth Convention on 6th February, 2020 at Al-Hamra Art Council in Lahore. The event was funded by Mr. Bashir Ahmad Naz President ISSUP Pakistan and Patron-in Chief Youth Forum Pakistan.
Youth from across Pakistan including all provinces of Pakistan Punjab, Baluchistan, Kaber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, Sindh, and Islamabad Capital Territory were invited and participated.
Ms. Saima Asghar, Director ISSUP Pakistan and Senior Advisor Youth Forum Pakistan (for drug use prevention) welcomed all the participants and guests and gave a brief introduction of ISSUP Global as well as the ISSUP Pakistan Chapter.
Mr. Muhammad Aslam, President M A Jinnah Foundation (Regd) and Founder Youth Forum Pakistan gave a brief introduction of Youth Forum Pakistan (for drug use prevention).
Mr. Bashir Amhad Naz welcomed the Chief Guest Dr. Akhtar Malik Provincial Minister and during his speech he assured his continued support for similar activities in the future.
After that a cultural performance by youth of all the provinces was on the programme. The performance included traditional attire and music.
Five guest Speakers were invited and delivered presentations on different topics like Dr. Talat Habib Master Trainer UTCs (Science of Addiction Counselling Approaches & Attitudinal Healing), Mr. Muhammad Ayub Senior Advisor Colombo Plan (Evidence-Based Prevention Intervention For Substance Use Prevention), Prof. Dr. Uzma Ali Director Institute of Clinical Psychology (Life Skills Well Formed Goals and Achievements), Dr. Hina Imran Associate Professor (Leadership Skills Positive Mind, Positive Vibes, Positive Life), Ms. Tusabe Rebecca Social Activist, Public Speaker gave a presentation on Introduction-Ethical Leadership, Importance of Youth Leadership Skills, Basic Life Grooming for Youth Leadership Skills.
A role play "Drugs are not a life style it’s a choice” was also presented by Youth Forum Pakistan’s Islamabad Team. Songs and Informative Videos were also played during the event. Shields for guests and certificates for all the participants were awarded for the Painting Competition winners and runner ups.
