We know that medication-assisted treatments (MAT), such as the prescription of methadone and buprenorphine, are our most powerful interventions. Supporting opioid-dependent service users to begin MAT at the earliest and safest opportunity saves lives.

Change, Grow, Live has developed a new toolkit to support practitioners using MAT.

It is vital health care professionals are aware of each service users unique needs. This involves spending time with people to make sure they are on the most appropriate dose.

The toolkit includes information on forming an MAT plan, specific issues you should consider when deciding how to implement MAT within your service, and ways to improve the effectiveness of MAT.

This toolkit is designed by frontline staff to improve:
