Fifth Founding Anniversary of Female Drug Treatment Center

Ahsania Mission Female Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Center celebrated its 5th Founding Anniversary on 12th April 2018 at the Health Sector Training Room in Saymoli, Dhaka. Head of the Health Sector of Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) Mr. Iqbal Masud, presided over the ceremony and Former Residential Psychiatrist of Central Drug Treatment Center of Narcotics Control Department Dr. Aktaruzzaman Salim, National Director of Bangladesh Youth First Concern (BYFC) Dr. Petar Haldar, Director of the ASROY drug treatment center Mr. Shamim Khan, Director of the UTSHO drug treatment and rehabilitation Dr. Sahabuddin Chwdhury, Director of the Holly Care Drug Treatment Center Mr. Mostafizur Rahman Sumon and Advisor of Peaceful Life Mr. Safiqur Rahman were present as guest speaker. Besides, staff, clients and guardians spoke on the occasion.

Ahsania Mission Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Center is the 1st licensed female drug treatment center in Bangladesh. This Center has been offering a 14 day detoxification which is followed by a 2.5 month rehabilitation program since 2014. The DAM is currently operating three drug treatment and rehabilitation centers in Gazipur and Jessore for (six month in house program) male drug users and one in Dhaka for female drug users.
