Almost 3 out of 4 teenagers in the United States think that e-cigarettes are less harmful or addictive than smoking tobacco, a new study has found. The researchers also found that increases in the perceived safety of what has become known as “vaping” positively correlates with wider usage. In other words, researchers attribute the increasing popularity of e-cigarettes in part to their seemingly less harmful effects on the body. However, vaping is not without risk. The U.S Food and Drug Administration (FDA), for instance, has recently started considering e-cigarettes within the same bracket as tobacco products and regulating them accordingly.
