Hala Najm is a registered pharmacist holding a master's degree in public health from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. She furthered her education through the Fulbright Hubert Humphrey Fellowship, specializing in substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery at Virginia Commonwealth University, USA.
Hala dedicates her time as Program Manager for Research at ICUDDR and as a scientific support coordinator for ISSUP. Hala has forged collaborations with local and regional non-profit organizations, higher education institutions, and governmental entities across the Middle East and North Africa. In her role as a senior abatement program researcher, she spearheaded the development of a comprehensive toolkit for the Virginia Opioid Abatement Authority.
Hala's dedication to substance use advocacy is evident through her ICAP-prevention credentials and her position as a trainer in educational prevention programs like INEP+, eUPC, Unplugged, and Line Up Live Up, among others.
