Ali Yassine holds two Master's degrees, one in Public and the other in International Relations. He is an International Public Health Specialist at the Prevention Treatment and Rehabilitation Section at UNODC HQ in Vienna. His work is focused on drug demand reduction, namely through development and implementation of scientific evidence-based family skills programmes for the prevention of risky behaviour in children as well as supporting the mental health of both caregivers and children.
He supported the development of a guiding document on improving the role of law enforcement officers in drug use prevention within school settings, which aims at bringing the science into law enforcement-led prevention interventions, in line with the UNODC/WHO International Standards on Drug Use Prevention.
